Suggested Use: Take a serving of 2-3 capsules immediately upon waking on an empty stomach. Do not take more than 3 capsules per day.

Some users find that a moderate dose of caffeine in the morning and/or early afternoon may extend and optimize results (We recommend SMART CAFFEINE).

CILTEP can be taken daily, however we advise taking 1-2 days off per week (weekends for example).

Artichoke Extract

Artichoke Extract contains Luteolin which is a natural inhibitor of the enzyme PDE4. This enzyme is present in neurons where it breaks down CREB activating cAMP. CREB activation is important for long-term potentiation, a process vital to learning and memory. Inhibiting PDE4 and thus increasing cAMP levels in neurons has been shown to increase long-term potentiation.

Forskolin

Forskolin is derived from the plant Coleus forskohlii and is used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. It has the property of increasing levels of cAMP in cells. Combined with Luteolin from Artichoke extract, forskolin synergistically increases the duration and levels of cAMP in neurons.

L-Phenylalanine

L-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid present in many foods. When CREB is activated studies have shown that transcription of the enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase is increased leading to an increased rate of dopamine metabolism . L-Phenylalanine is the natural precursor to dopamine and thus helps supply the necessary amino acid fuel for that metabolism.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR)

ALCAR is an acetylated form of the amino acid L-Carnitine. L-Carnitine is present in many foods but can also be synthesized in the liver. When cAMP is increased in neurons by forskolin, studies have shown that levels of acetylcholinesterase are also increased. We added ALCAR to the stack to help mitigate the effects of increased acetylcholinesterase on short-term memory and energy.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is an essential vitamin and an important enzymatic cofactor that helps the body produce essential neurotransmitters including dopamine, serotonin, and GABA. It helps activate DOPA decarboxylase, an enzyme directly downstream from tyrosine hydroxylase in dopamine metabolism and thus helps to maintain optimal dopamine metabolism under conditions of increased Tyrosine Hydroxylase that occur during CREB enhanced LTP.
